Mayor Mike Johnston endorses Marlene De La Rosa, Kimberlee Sia, and John Youngquist for the DPS Board of Education 🎉

We are thrilled to share that Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has joined Denver Families Action in endorsing three candidates for Denver Public Schools Board of Education:

• Kimberlee Sia for District 1

• Marlene De La Rosa for District 5, and

• John Youngquist for At-Large

“I’m proud to endorse Marlene De La Rosa, Kimberlee Sia and John Youngquist for Denver Public Schools Board,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “These candidates bring more than 60 years of education experience, community leadership and a demonstrated record as collaborative problem solvers. Every great city is built on a great school system, and as a former educator and DPS parent, I believe Marlene, Kimberlee and John bring the change, experience, and community voice that our school board needs in this moment.” 

Mayor Johnston’s endorsement is a clear symbol of what Denver Families Action knows to be true: Kimberlee, Marlene, and John are the best candidates to join the Denver Public Schools Board of Education.
