Both ballot measures will fund free breakfast and lunch for all Colorado public school
At Denver Families Action (DFA), our primary focus is developing community leadership and engaging directly with voters to build long-term power for public school families. We invest in the next generation of education advocates through hands-on training, leadership development, and organizing efforts that empower families, educators, and community members to lead the conversations and campaigns that matter most.
As part of this work, we also endorse bold, student-centered candidates for the Denver Board of Education—those who reflect the values and priorities of the communities they serve. Our ultimate goal is a public school system where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive.
A seven-month leadership development program that prepares emerging education advocates to think critically about Denver’s education landscape, engage meaningfully in school board governance and policy, and run effective campaigns.
We evaluate candidates and initiatives based on their understanding of the challenges facing Denver Public Schools and their ability to present a clear, community-rooted vision for the future.
